Dying as a Country
by Dimitris Dimitriadis
New Theatre
Premiere: 16.11.2023
About
Sometimes the process of dying lasts longer than life itself. It can take centuries, even millennia. What happens when not just individuals, but an entire country faces the real threat of death?
Based on Dimitris Dimitriadisโ text โI Am Dying as a Countryโ (1978), the performance explores a nation in a prolonged process of collapse and transformation.
Set in the context of contemporary Georgia, the work opens a dialogue on political crisis, collective fatigue and national identity.
